These are large battle scenes that are put into action by men and women carrying out the acts of war that has happened in our past. The actors typically use Airsoft guns to portray the acts. The Airsoft guns are very convincing looking. They are easily substituted during the reenactment of a battle and they defiantly help to make the experience a great one for those that come from miles around to witness it. They will surely be moved by the show. Airsoft guns are also used in a new type of extreme sport. In this sport, a group of men and older boys get together to hunt for each other in a heavily wooded area. This is becoming more and more popular as time goes by. Everyone who participates usually dresses in a camouflage outfit or some other pieces of clothing that will allow them to blend in with the wooded area. Once everyone has agreed on the boundaries that they will be playing between, the game begins. They will spread out in different directions and wait until a specific time has passed. Once the time has passed they begin their hunt. At this point the people that went into the woods as friends become the targets. As a person sneaks up on their opponent, they take a shot with the Airsoft gun and then that person is out if they are hit. When it is all said and done, the person that does not get hit by any of the others in the woods is the victor. Now do not let the name Airsoft guns fool you. The impact from an airsoft gun is not exactly pleasurable. It does sting when you get hit with it. It can leave a nasty bruise but unless you are shot at an extremely close range it should not break the skin. Just because the airsoft gun is being used for gaming, it should not be considered a toy. Children that you would not let handle an actual gun should not be allowed to handle these either. These guns can still be dangerous when they are not used in a safe manner. If a person was to get shot in the eye with one of the rubber bb, it could leave permanent damage to the eye. It may not be able to break the skin unless it is shot extremely close up but if they bb hits an eye, even from a good distance away, the consequences could be very bad. The Airsoft guns are a lot less deadly than a gun that operates with bullets. The reenactment of famous battles in our history would not be the same without them.
