in the past twenty years there has been a great technological transformation in retail electronics. The convention analog info has now been transformed into digital bytes. The first customer based digital cameras was created by Kodak and Apple in 1995. After then several models have been brought in the stores such as the Canon PowerShot A60, Kodak Easy Share C533, Fuji FinePix E900, Nikon Cooped S6. The new kid on the block in this niche is the Canon PowerShot SD770. The big advantage of compact digital cams is that they are tiny and they can be easily held about even in shirt pockets.

For the past twenty years there has been a big technological change in retail camera's. The conventional analog info has now been metamorphosed by digital bytes. The first consumer oriented digital cam was created by Kodak and Apple in 1995. After then several makes have been introduced into the stores such as the Canon PowerShot A60, Kodak Easy Share C533, Fuji FinePix E900, Nikon Cooped S6. The new cam on the block in this category is the Canon PowerShot SD770. The biggest advantage of small digital cams is that they are compact and they could be easily carried about even in shirt pockets.

The imprint of cameras can be tracked back centuries. The technology of cams was discovered by Mo Ti of China. Cameras came from camera obscuras " Daguerreotypes - Polaroids " film cams " disposables and last the digital cameras. The camera obscuras was an eye contraption and it was primarely used for drawing It is a box with a hole through which light passed to strike a specific part of the back wall. It created a identical clone and the artist could copy the image.

The Daguerreotypes cam had coats of copper plates by mercury vapor, which made reflective like exact twin of the picture. During 1948, Polaroid invented the instant film cam. It uses integral film with exposures which develop automatically once the photo is done. During 1888 the Kodak introduced simple use camera's with 100 film exposures. in 1959 Nikon created the first widely 35mm SLR cam. During 1979 Canon made its first automatic focus 35mm camera. In 1980 Kodak and Fuji film created disposable cam's which would be expended only once. during 1995 Kodak invented the latest digital camera to the consumers. The current creation is the Canon SD770, which is tiny in mass with better photo quality and longer lasting battery.

Digital cameras like most other cams are used to create pics and vids of people, places or things. They come in varying mass's, pigments, brands, zooms, resolutions, playbacks, prices, features and quality. Conventional cams need films, and this film was then developed and photos were printed. A digital camera doesnt require film. The operation of a digital camera is the same as a conventional cam. But the difference is in way the images are saved and the number of images saved. The pics are saved in small memory chips. These images can be erased and the memory device can be expended over and over again. The amount of pics stored in a memory card depends on the capacity of the device. When a pic is taken, light is reflected on the lenses, which falls on digital sensors, which are computer chips, called CCD. The sensors are counted in mega pixel and more the number of mega pixel, the better the picture. The PowerShot SD770 has 10 mega pixels to give the greatest quality pictures.

In a digital cam you can actually click your photograph and check it right there and then. You can also think on the photographs you want to keep or delete without actually printing them. They are small and can be easily carried. The pictures saved in the mem chip of your digital camera can be uploaded into your computer. This can be done by moving the pictures from the memory card to your pc's hard drive or floppy disk. The digital cam comes with a cable which can be connected to your computer to transfer the photographs. You can give your pics among your friends and relatives in e-mail. but, digital cams are more pricy than film cams. They use more power specifically in cold weather. There is a limit to the size of the photograph you wish to take. Poor lighting will cause grains in the image. When new cameras are introduced, you might find it difficult to get accessories for older models.

The latest in digital camera, the Canon PowerShot SD770, 10.0 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5 inch LCD monitor. The Canon SD770 has high battery capacity. This camera can shoot about 300 images and the price ranges from $180 to $325.

Digital cameras have certainly taken the market today. When you want to buy a digi cam you need to look at the features of the camera, the resolution or capacity to produce quality photos|pics|photograps|pictures. You also need to pay special attention to features like the built-in memory, the battery life, the LCD and the mega pixel and zoom ability.
